  2. To boot a Linux partition put the device it's on (/dev/hda3, /dev/sda1,

  7.           boot: linux root=/dev/hda2 init=/bin/sh   <Specify init>

  9. To boot a gzip compressed Linux system into RAM that's on a 1.44MB floppy disk.

  15. The Smart-Boot-Manager can boot operating systems on your
  16. hard drive (Linux,FreeBSD,WinXP,DOS,Win2k,Win9x,OS/2).
  17. It can also boot a bootable CD-ROM.
  18. For it to boot a system there must be a boot sector at the
  19. beginning (superblock) of the partition you want to boot. 
  20. For Linux you would need to have Lilo or Grub installed to
  21. the superblock of the Linux partition you want to boot.
